Based in the beautiful Waimea Plains, just outside of Nelson in the top of New Zealand’s South Island, Korpiko NZ Ltd is owned and operated by Laurayne Pillai.

Drawing on the experience of a varied career which has encompassed leadership in management positions as Principal, Deputy Principal and General Manager in the education sector, marketing sector and the honey industry, Laurayne combines all her expertise in Commerce, Human Resources and Health and Safety to shape the future direction of Korpiko.

Korpiko NZ Ltd specialises in handcrafted, artisan shortbreads, using the purest NZ butter to create our signature buttery taste. We source local produce to create varieties and flavours which truly reflect the local Nelson landscape. This boutique approach to our baking, combined with only the best local ingredients, ensures we consistently supply our customers with the finest NZ shortbread available.

Laurayne is very community focussed and passionate about providing people with an opportunity to grow and develop. Korpiko’s policy of employing from within its own community primarily supports women who are looking to return to the workforce, by providing a sensitive and understanding work environment where their working hours are balanced around their children, extended family needs and other commitments.
